Monastic is not usually a word I would use when describing a collection...until this one. Instead of the usual vamped up "nun looks" that we have all seen in various editorials, this collection is quite modest, and the models are not particularly sexy. Francisco Costa added a subtle dose of modern femininity with the leather gloves and boots. It was interesting how he opted for a narrow shoulder while experimenting with round, billowing sleeves--a look that is becoming quite modern. The minimal detailing, sleek lines, and tailored structure followed in line with the rest of the fall trends we have seen thus far. I am undecided in how I feel about the overall fit of the garments, but I do not like his choice in models, so perhaps this is why. What do you guys think of this collection?
